American Airlines to operate the 787-8 to Auckland

In a Routesonline statement today, American Airlines has announced that for the extended dates of operation during the 2020 season the Los Angeles - Auckland route will be flown by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (07-24 Oct 2020).

This comes after a major announcement for expansion in New Zealand by American, including flights from Auckland to Dallas and Christchurch to Los Angeles.

The type was operated to Auckland on the Los Angeles route in the past after its early inception, upgraded to the regular 787-9 we see today in late 2017.
